Description

As a Senior Accountant, you play a key role in shaping, ensuring the reliability of, and developing Easi’s accounting function. 

Going well beyond day-to-day accounting tasks, you act as a technical expert and process lead, ensuring compliance, the quality of financial reporting, and the continuous improvement of practices.

You will work on a variety of high-value-added topics: compliance with the general accounting close of our entities, taxation, BE GAAP consolidation, legal structuring, workflow optimisation, and technical coaching of the team.

You will work closely with our external partners (fiduciaries) whilst maintaining internal control. In a context of sustained growth, you will actively contribute to the evolution of our accounting environment (automation, AI, Adfinity – our in-house accounting software, etc.).

Responsabilities

Management & Compliance

  • Ensure BE GAAP compliance across all Belgian entities
  • Oversee the quality of financial closings and reporting
  • Ensure consistency in accounting practices across the group

Taxation

  • Oversee ISOC and VAT matters (in collaboration with tax advisors)
  • Act as the internal technical tax expert
  • Challenge and supervise external partners

Consolidation

  • Manage the BE GAAP consolidation of a group of 9 companies (including 2 in Luxembourg)
  • Structure and improve consolidation processes
  • Act as the main point of contact with external experts

Support & Development

  • Support and develop the skills of the accounting team
  • Provide technical support and establish best practices
  • Contribute to a culture of an autonomous and high-performing team

Structuring & Projects

  • Actively participate in mergers and the creation of new entities
  • Collaborate with internal teams (finance, M&A, management)
  • Provide a critical and structuring perspective on the financial organisation

Continuous improvement

  • Identify and implement process optimisations (automation, AI, tools)
  • Contribute to the development of the internal Adfinity software
  • Implement modern and scalable practices

Profile

Must-have:

  • 5 to 10 years’ experience in accounting, for example with accountancy firms and/or in auditing, with exposure to business and corporate environments
  • Fluent in French, and comfortable using English or Dutch
  • Solid experience in managing financial close processes under BE GAAP
  • Good understanding of ISOC tax and VAT
  • Business-minded and customer-oriented: A customer-oriented approach is essential to understanding and meeting the financial needs of our company and our clients
  • Desire to take initiative within the organisation and contribute to the team’s dynamic environment
  • Ability to manage complex issues independently
  • Ability to take the initiative, curiosity and ambition: The ability to take the initiative demonstrates a willingness to go beyond assigned responsibilities and to contribute proactively to the continuous improvement of our accounting processes


Nice-to-have:

  • Previous experience in consolidation
  • Fluency in all three languages (French, English and Dutch) would be an advantage
