As a Medior/Senior OT Security Engineer, your mission is to use your analytical and technical skills to identify and meet the specific needs of the client. You will primarily implement OT Security solutions that provide the client with a safe and high-performing industrial environment.

As an ICS/OT Security Engineer, you play a crucial role in providing high-quality security advise and technical expertise to our valued clients. 

You focus on identifying and evaluating vulnerabilities in ICS/OT environments, designing and implementing robust security architectures, and advising clients on best practices for cybersecurity. 

With your in-depth knowledge and skills, you help protect our clients’ systems against the ever-evolving threats in the digital world.

Your major responsibilities contain:

• In-depth security assessments: Conduct thorough risk analyses, vulnerability assessments, and penetration tests using both automated tools and manual techniques.
• Tailored security strategies: Develop innovative security strategies and architectures that perfectly align with the unique operational needs and risk tolerance of the client.
• Implementation of advanced technologies: Configure and implement cutting-edge security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), security information and event management (SIEM) solutions, and endpoint protection platforms (EPP).
• Security hardening: Strengthen ICS/OT equipment and systems according to the highest industry standards and best practices (e.g., IEC 62443).
• Proactive monitoring and detection: Develop and implement smart strategies to proactively identify anomalies and potential threats in ICS/OT networks.
• Incident response: Assist clients during incidents with forensic analysis, containment, and recovery, ensuring a swift and effective response.
• Training and workshops: Deliver engaging technical training and workshops on ICS/OT security principles and best practices, inspiring clients to elevate their security measures.

Must-have:

• Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English, both spoken and written
• Bachelor or master in computer science, electrical engineering, industrial engineering or a related field
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in ICS/OT security, preferably within an integrator or consultancy environment
• Experience or knowledge of one of the following technologies and vendors: Aruba, BGP, OSPF, IPSec, Fortigate, F5, VMware, PowerShell, Ansible, Claroty, Nozomi Networks, Armis, Dragos...
• In-depth knowledge of ICS/OT protocols (such as Modbus, OPC UA, DNP3), network topologies, and industrial control systems
• Experience in conducting security assessments and penetration tests in ICS/OT environments
• The purdue model holds no secrets for you

Soft-skills:

• Good problem-solving, organisational and listening skills
• Very good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team

Nice-to-have:

• Bilingualism NL/FR
• Curious, independent minded
• Certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)
