IT company Easi has received the Platinum label from Deloitte, maintaining its title of “Best Managed Company” for the seventh consecutive year. The day before, Easi's CFO Toni Turi was also nominated for the prestigious title of “CFO of the Year” from Trends.
The Best Managed Companies program annually evaluates participants based on criteria that have proven their value worldwide. Specifically, this program recognizes highly performing private companies that demonstrate a clear long-term strategy, broad skill set, strong commitment, and excellent financial results. For seven years, Easi has successfully met the program's requirements. Today, the IT company belongs to the very exclusive group of Platinum-labeled companies. « We are proud to reach an important milestone in our program by recognizing our very first Platinum winners. These companies are true pioneers of Belgian entrepreneurship and have proven year after year that they are sustainably successful and resilient in uncertain times », says Bruno Peelaers, Partner Deloitte Private and Best Managed Companies Program Leader.
Impressive track record of 7 years for a 25-year-old company
This year was extra special for Easi, as the Belgian company celebrated its 25th anniversary in March. It was an opportunity for Easi to look back and take stock, which was welcomed by the Best Managed Companies jury. Indeed, Easi's history can be compared to a Belgian success story, which began in 1999 with the company's rapid growth. Starting with just 40 employees, it now has more than 500, with a target of 750 by 2026. The company also has a turnover of 88 million euros by 2023 and 16 acquisitions to its credit, the first dating back to 2006 and the last in late 2023. « We are very proud of these first 25 years of our existence, which are just the beginning of this incredible adventure started in 1999 by Salvatore Curaba. I don't think we will ever get used to receiving these awards. We are always very honored, but above all, grateful to our employees because they are the ones who make our company live and shine », explains Thomas Van Eeckhout, co-CEO of Easi.
Prestigious nomination
The nomination of Toni Turi, Easi's CFO, for the title of "CFO of the Year" is a great source of gratification for the IT company. « I was very honored to be selected as a finalist, it gives me a certain pride. The other candidates were of very high caliber with very impressive companies. It's, of course, always disappointing not to win the prize, but it remains a great experience and gave us the chance to share our common story, that of Easi and myself. My thanks go out to Trends and the jury», responds Toni Turi.
« Even though the result is not what we had hoped for, we are very grateful for Toni's dedication, work, and journey at Easi. It would not be an exaggeration to say that he has truly accompanied Easi's growth over the past 24 years, with the highlight being the introduction of our shared ownership model in 2012», says Jean-François Herremans, co-CEO of Easi. Today, 130 employees are shareholders of the company. A quite unique model in Belgium that has changed the company's standards in human resources, as well as in financial and legal management.
